How to Configure Additional Disk

Follow our simple step by step guide 

  • Locate to start menu 
  • type in "create and format hard drive partitions"
  • Click on "create and format hard drive partitions"
  • Scroll down the list, and find your new drive, probably marked Unallocated. The new drive is identified as Disk 0
  • if your disk is offline follow this step = on the right, in the offline area, right-click, and choose initialize disk 
  • Make sure its style is "Master Boot Record" MBR then click "OK"
  • On the right, in the Unallocated area, tap and hold down or right-click, and choose New Simple Volume. The New Simple Volume Wizard appears.
  • Tap or click Next. You’re asked to specify a volume size.
  • Leave the numbers just as they are — you want to use the whole drive — and tap or click Next. The wizard asks you to specify a drive letter. E: or any other letter (Please Note do not use letter D: drive as cloudbase init cloud uses this to our headend to create the machine and install or reinstall os, root passwords if forgotten.
  • Tap or click Next; then tap or click Finish. Windows whirs and clunks, and when it’s finished, you have a spanking new drive, ready to be used.
  • You can check if the drive is working by going to "my computer" or "this pc" you should see the disk in here you can start using the drive 

If the disk is not showing you can follow the steps again or contact support and we can do this for you.

If you buy more then one additional disk in your order! follow the steps for other disks to mount them to your windows desktop server the same way
